1. Hotels: Earliest time at which a room will be available to a guest.

2. Airlines: Latest time before a scheduled departure at which a passenger may arrive at the airline terminal without losing his or her reserved seat. It is usually two hours for international or long-haul flights and one hour for domestic or short-haul flights.
