You are constantly losing water from your body, mainly through urine and sweat. To prevent dehydration, you need to drink adequate amounts of water.
There are many different opinions on how much water you should drink every day.
Health officials usually recommend eight 8-ounce glasses, which is equivalent to about 2 liters or half a gallon. This is called the 8 × 8 rule and is very easy to remember.
However, some health gurus believe that you have to drink sip on water continuously throughout the day, even if you are not thirsty.
As with most things, it depends on the person. Many factors (both internal and external) ultimately affect your need for water.

In fact, studies show that the diuretic effect of these beverages is very weak.

Does it matter what kind of water I drink?

If you are reaching for fruit juices, sports drinks, and fragrant water, you may consume a lot more empty calories than you realize. In addition, caffeine-containing drinks such as coffee and tea are diuretic, meaning that they can dehydrate you when you drink them.
The good news for water-haters is that eating foods with high water content can also help you stay hydrated. Instead of reaching for sugar beverages, try snacking on fruits and vegetables such as cucumbers, apples, and citrus.
