Definition of No contest:

1. Plea in a criminal case that the accused will not contest the facts on which the charge is based. Though it is comparable to a plea of guilt in authorizing a court to punish the accused, it does not constitute an admission of guilt and is generally aimed at preventing lawsuits that may arise from admission. Also called nolo contendere.

2. A plea by which a defendant in a criminal prosecution accepts conviction but does not plead or admit guilt.

3. A decision by the referee to declare a boxing match invalid on the grounds that one or both of the boxers are not making serious efforts.

How to use No contest in a sentence?
